Chrome users might only see the xml structure of feeds when clicking on the link. Using another web browser should do the trick.
If you already have a google account (e.g. gmail), google reader is a nice way of receiving updates (rss history and settings are stored on-line so you can access feeds from any computer with an internet connection).
